Hot Mirror

Hot mirrors, also known as short wave pass filters, are designed to reflect infrared, and in some cases UV radiation, while transmitting visible light. Below are three of our standard hot mirror designs. Coatings can be designed for varying angles of incidence.

UV/IR Hot Mirror - excellent solution for blocking both ultraviolet radiation and extended infrared energy

Angle of Incidence: 0º
Visible Transmission: ≥85% average 420nm to 680nm
U.V. Transmission: ≤1% average 200nm to 380nm
I.R.Reflection: ≥95% average 730nm to 1500nm

950nm Hot Mirror

Angle of Incidence: 0º
Visible Transmission: ≥93% average 425nm to 675nm
I.R.Reflection: ≥95% average 750nm to 950nm

1150nm Hot Mirror:

Angle of Incidence: 0º
Visible Transmission: ≥93% average 425nm to 675nm
I.R.Reflection: ≥95% average 750nm to 1150nm

Typical Applications:
